Collectables are only an investment because someone else wants one. The car itself doesn't matter nearly as much as the appeal, whatever it may be. Plenty of Asian new money where I live and a lot of these kids grew up on FnF. I see brand new McLarens and Lambos almost daily at the local strip mall driven by teenagers and 20-somethings. Some of them will eventually want to stand out from their crowd.
